Hi, Im new in the town and i decided to learn how to play saxofone can anyone help me to find a good music school that can help me to learn saxofone here in stuttgart? i dont speak german so far, the google option is not that efficiant
Nawel, I do not know in Stuttgart - there will be certainly come some more answers. If ever not - I know Olvier Wendt in Tübingen about 40-50 kms south of Stuttgart: http://www.tuesax.de/
Actually, it is Oliver, not Olivier... @Rubax should know But in fact, he is a very good teacher. If you do not want to drive so far, have a look at https://www.backnang.de/Krennerich Andreas Krennerich is an excellent saxophone player and a good teacher, too. Especially if you have already some good basics. However I do not know, if he has free capacities. BR, Wanze
Maybe you can also ask in in a saxophone store in Stuttgart. Maybe they can help you. Josef Distler in my opinion is the best sax store in town. If you are just a beginner, most of the teachers will be ok for you. typically you might find one via the Stuttgarter Musikschule the offical music school. In both cases there is no english Homepage, but hopefully they can help you if you vist them of give them a call. Best, StefAlt
The two other saxophone players in my group http://www.antizyklon.de also teach at music schools in/around Stuttgart. Alexander Bühl (who also leads the University Big Band Stuttgart) and Christoph Beck are excellent saxophone players. You can reach them via the Antizyklon-Website.
thank you all, i will give a call to the teachers that you recommended, and another question for buying the sax, im totally a beginner maybe you have some advice what should i buy?
Ask you teacher after you have found one. Everything else would be to much füor such a diskussion. We do have a beginners giude under "Saxinfos" but that is in German. For the first time renting a sax ist typically the best solution. This would maybe give a prference to the music school they might have saxes to rent, as public music schools oft have this.
