If I could sell it for 150 or 100 Euro (Gadget segment), i can imagine, that many people would say, that it's not much money for that. Not the professional and/or perfectionist players are the target, more sax lovers, who cannot play enough (because of neighbors, family, etc.) , or just looking for an extreme portable, but already enjoyable instrument for on the way.
And the world and the internet is big. It is hard to find the buyers, but there will always be many, who "ticks", like me

 

I can't even read the notes, so we can call it impro, even if I would not call it like that
I just play the melody with some ornaments what I think could fit.

About good musicians:
In my opinion there are two types and it's combinations:
1. He knows, what and why he does and practices so much, that he becomes great
2. He does not know, what and why he does and practices so much, that he becomes great
Example for first are the serious (eventually classical) musicians. For the second the bulgarian gipsy guy from the corner. Both are great.
I try the second way, because I am lazy and not perfectionist

 

Time will tell. No reason for you to worry about if you are not applying for a job promoting this product.

As with all the EWIs. "Electronic organ" did not replace the piano and the Saxophone did not replace the clarinet. So what? It may be just fun to play with it, despite it's strange look or sound. Totally without any artistic intent.

Even the LOMO camera still has it's fan base and THAT is really bad compared to everything.

I asked bebob99 who would buy it, but he only said time will tell. Anyway you seem to have all your bases covered in that regard. Good luck.

Meine Gedanke dazu:
Für mich ist mitlerweile viel einfacher(leider) auf dem Gerät zu spielen, weil man halt keine Ansatz braucht und zweifache Range ohne mühe hat. Ich komme zu meine richtige Instrument vielleich einmal pro Monat (wegen Nachbaren, Familie, Zeit etc.). Es ist einfach schön, dass ich damit immer tumspielen kann.

 

Und hier noch was klassisches, ich glaube es ist ganz gut gelungen, und zeigt, was man noch mit den FlatSax machen kann. Ich habe alle Spuren mit dem FlatSax aufgenommen (Kontrabass, Cello, 3xGeige):

 

Man kann überraschend Gefühlvoll Streichinstrumente damit spielen, nicht nur Bläsern. Auch distorted guitar ist nicht zu schlecht. Aber von Klang her sind immer noch die Saxophone die gößte Herausforderung (es ist ja das beste von allen Instrumente ).

 

Und noch eine. Beatles gab es noch nicht
Alle Spuren wurden mit dem FlatSax aufgenommen.

 

Hast du schön und gefühlvoll gespielt. Insbesondere die bassspur ist sehr gut.
Hast du alle Spuren in Saxophon Layout gespielt? Gibt es auch andere Griffweisen?

 

Saxophon Layout ja, aber transponiert. Man kann ja ganz einfach den Grundton ändern (voreingestellt sind Baritone, Tenor, C, Alto, Soprano und Sopranino Sax, aber man kann auch halbtonweise einstellen).
Andere Key Layouts gibt es (noch) nicht. Für anderen Instrumenten (z.B. Klarinette) plane ich Dedizierte Instrumente.

 

Danke! Ganz zufrieden bin ich trotzdem nicht, viele Töne/Spuren sind ziemlich verrutscht, aber das (sonst genielle) Lied ist wirklich ein Nummer zu gross für mich...

 

Ich denke als 100-150 Euro Gadget wuerdest du eine Luecke im Markt fuellen. Zumindest fuer mich waere das eine Option um Abends etwas Musik zu machen. Also, falls es mal zu einem Produkt kommt, meld dich gerne bei mir
