Biete Selmer New Large Bore Tenor #13895 (1930)

Hello everyone,

I am selling my 1930 Selmer New Large Bore tenor saxophone, serial #13895

The instrument is exceptionally well preserved for its age and still has its original varnish, with a beautiful natural patina and authentic signs of wear that fit very well with the vintage character of the instrument.

The saxophone was recently fully serviced and tuned at BrassMastersLab in Kyiv, one of the leading professional wind instrument workshops in Ukraine.

The instrument is currently in very good, playable condition. The pads close perfectly and the mechanism has been fully adjusted. The saxophone is ready to play immediately – no additional maintenance, adjustment, or overhaul is required.

It has the characteristic sound of early large-bore Selmer instruments: broad, dark, powerful and very flexible.

Tolles Instrument und tolle Aufnahme.
Es handelt sich allerdings nicht um einen Cigar Cutter sondern ein Large Bore Tenor.

 

Danke für den Hinweis! Bei diesen frühen Selmer-Modellen, besonders bei den späten Large Bore Tenören, gibt es manchmal etwas Verwirrung mit der Bezeichnung Cigar Cutter. In dieser Übergangszeit hat Selmer verschiedene Korpusse, Mechaniken und Teile kombiniert, was die genaue Zuordnung manchmal schwierig macht.
#13895 ist aber tatsächlich noch ein spätes Large Bore Tenor. Ich ändere die Bezeichnung im Inserat. Danke!
