If you have not yet joined my facebook user group, please join us. Each month, we choose an etude, and members post videos of themselves playing the etude of the month.

On a new subject. I have some exciting new books in the works. The next book, called "The Lobster Theory," is a collection of eighteen of my teaching analogies. It's a book of concepts about playing and practicing. It's unlike any other book on the market. I think that everyone will enjoy this new book and new approach. These analogies were developed over 25 years of teaching, and they really work! The book also features cartoons illustrating the concepts in a fun, lighthearted way. The book will be available in mid-September.

yesterday morning i found your duets-book in my postbox in a very fine condition!

I immediately started to play the CD lessons for 2 Altos which is really much fun to play

It will need much practice to play in tune, but it´s worth the effort!

Diese Licks auswendig zu lernen, schaffe ich auch nicht. Aber sie sollen ja in die Improvisation einfließen. Also tatsächlich nur als Etüde / Phrasierungsübung nehmen und hoffen, dass das irgendwann auf die Impro abfärbt?

Ich habe mein Heft vor ein paar Tagen bekommen. Leider habe ich in den letzten Wochen überhaupt keine Zeit zum Üben gehabt, sodass ich auch noch nicht mit den "Hip Licks" üben konnte. Aber es kommen auch wieder entspanntere Zeiten.
